Biosea - Understorey
- BioSEA Understorey is manufactured from oceanic deep water species of fish. To this high quality hydrolised fish protein 10% fish oil is blended back into it and a high grade humic/ fulvic acid is also incorporated at 10% to give a balanced blend of proteins, carbon and oils.
- The importance of trace minerals is also addressed with the addition of magnesium, boron, zinc, cobalt and molybdenum. These minor trace minerals are essential for plant and animal wellbeing and have been included to ensure maximum plant growth.
- Humic acid is incorporated into BioSEA to assist with the uptake of calcium and magnesium. This is of particular importance for dairy cows and increased clover growth. BioSEA improves clovers and palatability of dry matter and animal health is also improved.
- It is of great importance that the fungi and bacteria in the soil are fed and nurtured in order to increase soil aerobic respiration and assist in plant nutrient uptake. BioSEA also promotes earthworm activity.
- Trial work done showed that this blend of fish proteins and carbons produced the most beneficial fungi and bacteria essential for feeding and nurturing soil biological health. Understorey works exceptionally well on clovers which require good inoculation of bacteria.s to help produce nitrifying bacteria.
- The nitrogen present is in the form of amino acids, which plants can take and use directly. When chemical ammonium or urea nitrogen fertilisers are used the plant must first convert them into amino acids. BioSEA has nitrogen in a form that plants can easily take up, so they don.t have to expend energy to convert it. That energy can go directly into the growth process.
- BioSEA and Probitas . BioSEA used in conjunction with Probitas will increase clovers, animal health and will greatly improve the soil biological system. Animal waste will break down and recycle much more efficiently due to greater earthworm activity and soil fungi and bacteria.
- This means less use of nitrogen and less leachate. It is a practical, common sense way to deliver nitrogen into the soil/plant system.
